Force 7 in Dún Laoghaire

Good title? A bit like Force 8 in Navarone.
Yesterday, with predictions of force 6 and stuff, we took the train to Greystones which is a nice place, instead of sailing there, and had a meal with Alison's aunt Tric (pronounced Trish).
The train journey was lovely, hanging on to the side of the granite over the sea, and in the distance were three yachts doing the journey that we had just cancelled, and the sun was out, and people were swimming, and the sea was slight. We didn't say anything about it, but we could have sailed that easily, and the weather forecast was really wrong. Wrong.
Today, the weather forecast is wrong again, instead of a decent F4 and a passage down the coast as predicted, it is gusting a F7.
So, once again, we are reading books.
Heater's on. More coffee, perhaps, and a visit to the Maritime Museum.
This place is expensive.

Here is a picture from the Motor Boat Club's webcam, and above, a picture of the flags at the spreaders trying to beat themselves to death.
